The USB-C Travel Dock E from OWC is suitable if you want something to carry around with you. While it's not as sleek or compact as the Ugreen dock, this dock delivers all the essentials required to turn any USB-C laptop into a powerhouse without costing a ton of money. The rest of the dock is well thought out, with two downstream 10Gbps USB-C ports, three 5Gbps USB-A ports, SD card slots, a microphone and headphone combo audio slot, and an Ethernet jack. Unfortunately, it only supports one extended display on Macs, unlike the Ugreen dock. It can drive three external monitors in 1080p and a single monitor in 4K at 60Hz. The dock comes with a huge 135W power adapter that helps it deliver up to 85W of charging power to the host laptop and 18W for accessories via one of the two downstream USB-C ports. ![]() ![]() It offers 13 ports of connectivity and plenty of power delivery for charging your laptop and accessories at a much more reasonable price. The 575 USB-C Docking Station is by far the most well-rounded USB-C dock available. Read MoreĪnker is known for its premium, high-quality charging accessories, but it also makes some of the best USB-C hubs and docks. It works fine without external power, but if you want to charge your laptop simultaneously or connect a couple of high-powered devices, you'll need to connect an AC adapter to the USB-C PD port. The only complaint is that it does not come with a power supply. I've been using this dock for the past six months, and it has made my multitasking so much easier. In both macOS and Windows, it can drive up to three extended 4K 60Hz displays, with one HDMI port supporting up to 8K at 30Hz-something not available in other docks. ![]() It takes up less desk space and is small enough to slip into a backpack for travel. Its sleek, compact design and performance set this dock apart from similar offerings. It has 13 ports in total, including one USB-C downstream port, three USB-A downstream ports, two HDMI, a DisplayPort, Ethernet, a 3.5mm audio jack, and SD and microSD card slots. The Ugreen USB-C Triple Display Docking Station is ideal for professionals who need to connect multiple displays and peripherals to their laptops for work or for anyone who needs a more efficient way to connect their devices. Often, there will be no enemy warning or marker to identify them you just have to keep an eye out and be ready for when that one NPC starts advancing on you with a katana. ![]() You’ll be warned about this - it means that another assassin is attempting to hunt you down, and you’d best keep an eye out for them. Often times in the campaign, completing a mission or shooting up a gang will cause a “Nemesis” to be deployed. I unfortunately didn’t have a chance to test this myself, but many of its elements are presented quite clearly even in single player mode. ![]() Tokyo 42’s multiplayer mode is worth discussing. While there aren’t too many main story missions, there are a whole slew of side missions for you to take on, as well as optional challenges within them to further spice up the game. The game is largely balanced between tackling these missions (whether simple shootouts or elaborate infiltrations) and giving you the freedom to roam around the world map and choose your next contract. There’s little other penalty besides this, but it can be a nuisance all the same. One single stray bullet can end an otherwise successful run and force you to start the mission over. Taking cover is advised, and your frailty means that stealth and picking your fights carefully is strongly encouraged. Not only are they frantic, but they’re quite lethal, as a single hit will kill most targets in the game - the player included. Gunfights in the game are usually quite frantic affairs, with bullets flying everywhere from all directions. You thus have the option of going in all guns blazing and fighting to the top before executing the guy, or else sneaking around at a precise pace, taking out guards one by one with your katana until you can finish off the target and escape. For example, an early mission has you climb to the top of a temple and assassinate the target with a blade. Tokyo 42 styles itself as a stealth game, and this usually an option (frequently the preferred option) presented to you. Should you run out of fancy powerful stuff, however, you’ll still have basic options to resort back to. This gear will either be picked up as mission rewards or purchased from shops with your hard-earned cash, though replenishing ammo is often up to you. You also have the melee option of using a katana or other bludgeoning weapon. You’re given an inventory wheel that quickly fills up with tools and weapons to select from, ranging from the relatively weak but fast-firing and infinite-ammo pistol, to assault or sniper rifles, to grenades and high explosive weapons. Your objectives are often diverse in terms of means and approach, but the end result is usually simple: kill the target. ![]() Missions themselves all take place within this large open world, usually cordoning off an area and filling it with hostile guards and goons. It’s largely a matter of picking your mission and then proceeding with it. There’s a handful of characters as colorful as the city itself that will guide you and set you up with contracts, as well as automated terminals where you can pick up side missions. To do so, you’ll be largely roaming the map between mission locations and then completing the missions themselves. With the objective of clearing your name, you immediately thrust yourself into the heart of the seedy criminal underbelly of Tokyo with the goal of building your reputation. After the initial chase and escape in the intro sequence, you’ll be presented with the open world map and allowed free reign within it. Tokyo 42 cites itself as a love letter to the original Syndicate and the top-down Grand Theft Auto games, and this is immediately apparent upon loading in. But how does Tokyo 42 hold up under scrutiny? Let’s dive in. Full of missions to complete, collectibles to find, and secrets to uncover, there’s quite a bit on offer at first glance. This version of Tokyo is fully realized in a good-sized open world map, tackled from an isometric perspective that allows you to view the strange and colorful splendor that the future city has embraced. True to its name, the game is set in a cyberpunk view of Tokyo in the year 2042, loaded down with trappings borrowed from Blade Runner and Shadowrun, alongside other classics. Imagine then that in order to clear your name and survive, you hide out and work as an assassin, which is now a legal and lucrative business after all, your targets won’t truly die. ![]() Imagine that you are an ordinary person living in this world that is framed for the murder, and you learn about it right as the police are coming for you. ![]() Kena: Bridge of Spirits is an astonishing action-adventure with a unique art direction. This is a small adventure with enough challenge and heart to keep you entertained for the full 10–15 hours that it'll take for you to reach its conclusion. Gameplay-wise it doesn't do anything particularly new or innovative but that doesn't stop it from being loads of fun. With absolutely stunning visuals and impactful music this is sure to leave an impression on people. It's pretty amazing to think that Kena: Bridge of Spirits is Ember Lab's very first game. Even if the story ends a bit in the background, the beauty of the world, the animations and the combat system make the adventure of Kena and his friends Rot's truly memorable. I really can’t recommend Kena: Bridge of Spirits highly enough that will see players partake in a meaningful journey absorbed in a vibrant world filled with fluid animations that cries out to be explored. Kena: Bridge of Spirits truly is something special, and I can’t wait to see what Ember Lab does next. It also tells a fantastic story, and there’s plenty to do even when the credits have rolled. It’s challenging, fun to play, and has a world teeming with life. Even more remarkable is that Kena isn’t simply a visual showcase, either. Very few games are as pleasing to the eyes, and coming from an indie studio – making its very first game, of all things – that’s something quite remarkable. Kena is smooth as a pebble - a game engineered to be so unoffensive there's no reason not to play it, or to play it at all.Įvery single moment of Kena: Bridge of Spirits is simply wonderful. I think that this is a really superb, beautifully-made game that is-if it clicks with you, I think it's really gonna stay with you, and I was really glad that I got the chance to play it. It's not gonna break any new ground I don't think this is a 10/10 experience, but I absolutely believe this will be on more than a few people's game of the year lists. I will treasure my time with Kena: Bridge of Spirits and look forward to even bigger projects from Ember Lab to come. That's more than fine with me, especially because it doesn't waste players' time by dragging any longer than it needs to (though you can pad the runtime an extra hour or two by hunting for its most buried shinies). ![]() Ultimately, this week's Sony console exclusive (also on PC) is an homage to Zelda's classic core, with a few clever twists and a compelling story built on top, as opposed to a revolutionary physics-bending adventure a la Breath of the Wild.
